The Pacific Beach Hotel is owned by HTH Corporation, a Hawaii based organization that has been a part of Hawaiian hospitality tradition since 1964. The Pacific Beach Hotel is home of the 280,000 gallon aquarium "Oceanarium". This Oceanarium stretches three stories high, is viewable from both hotel restaurants, the Neptune's Garden Restaurant and the Oceanarium Restaurant, and offers visitors a unique microcosm of Indo-Pacific ocean life. There are nearly 400 fish from more than 70 species including a spotted eagle and a pelagic stingray. Daily feeding times are scheduled so that guests dining at the restaurants can experience adventure along with a wonderful dining experience. And to top this off, arrangements can be made for the divers to carry a sign by the Oceanarium windows to mark your special celebration. With 837 attractively appointed rooms serviced by over 450 employees, the Pacific Beach Hotel offers views of Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head and the lush mountains of Oahu. Other amenities include the Aloha Center Café, 24-Hour Fitness Center and Hawaiian Rainforest Salon & Spa.
The Pacific Beach Hotel has supported the Honolulu Festival Foundation as a Diamond Sponsor for seven years. Minicola says, "The Honolulu Festival had the right reasons in mind when it was first organized, to create an opportunity for business in March, to help our economy. With our owner's affiliations in Japan, our relationship with the Honolulu Festival is strong and very long term. It is exciting to see the Festival grow. Being born and raised here I have seen our roots grow too, to include not only Hawaiian, Japanese, Filipino and Chinese but also Korean, Micronesian, Vietnamese, Thai and many others. Cultural programs such as the Honolulu Festival instill pride in our lineage and make us want to share this special feeling with those around us and our visitors."

2008 Mililani HS Scholarship recepients |
The Pacific Beach Hotel is involved in many community outreach programs. Many requests are made to the corporation each week and it is their objective to support "our own" first, meaning to put priority to Hawaii organizations that are in need. Pacific Beach Hotel has been an active partner in the Hawaii Education Partnership Program (HEPP). They support Mililani High School year round. Ground Hog Day enables the students of Mililani High School to job shadow various positions within the hotel.
At
the end of the job shadow, the students are endowed with a better understanding of the hotel industry and the importance of the aloha spirit.

Charity Walk |
Each year the Mililani Choir presents a Christmas Musical for the guests and employees of the hotel. And the Mililani Winter Ball and Junior and Senior Proms are held at Pacific Beach Hotel.
The HTH Scholarship Program awards over $3,000 total to four Mililani High School students each year so that they may pursue their career goals at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. The students help the hotel in the Annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk by cheering the walkers on. They also help make bento for the Honolulu Marathon in December. Such is the partnership of the Pacific Beach Hotel and the students of Mililani High School. It is a heartwarming relationship that continues to grow.

Pacific Beach Hotel Gecko |
Here is another interesting fact about Pacific Beach Hotel. There is a statue of a gecko in front of the Pacific Beach Hotel. It is painted in the patriotic colors of red, white and blue. Pacific Beach Hotel participated in a fundraiser a few years ago. Geckos were placed in front of Waikiki hotels and a gecko painting contest was held. The Veteran's Association painted the gecko for Pacific Beach Hotel. It seems that all the other geckos around Waikiki were taken down but Pacific Beach Hotel decided to keep their gecko up because there were so many visitors taking pictures with their gecko. The gecko has grown to be the hotel's mascot and is given a fresh lei each morning. And we all know that geckos bring us good luck and protect us.
