Announcement for Volunteers

Mahalo Nui Loa! for signing up as a volunteer in this year's Grand Parade.
All volunteers are asked to check-in at the volunteer tent as follows:
Date: Sunday, March 16, 2008
Time: 2:00 P.M.
Place: Ft. DeRussy, in front of the tennis courts
(next to the Waikiki Post Office)
Please look for the Honolulu Festival TENT with a registration desk.
At 2:00 P.M. please check-in at the registration desk. Please bring your signed Honolulu Festival Waiver and Release form. (if you do not have one, you may receive one upon check-in) [download waiver and release form]
You will receive a Happi Coat and a Meal Ticket.
You will receive the name of the Festival Participant Group that you will be supporting. You are then free to enjoy yourselves until just before 4:30 P.M.
At 4:30 P.M. please return to the TENT (please be prompt).
[ Volunteers for the Children's Mikoshi are to meet at 5:30 P.M. at the TENT, instead of at 4:30 P.M. ]
Please wear comfortable footwear.
At the end of the Parade at Kapiolani Park, each volunteer is free to leave without signing out with anyone.
---PARKING INFORMATION---
Special parking is available to Volunteers at "Paki Parking" next to Kapiolani Park, Waikiki Shell, (enter from Monsarrat Ave.) with a special parking pass while supply lasts. The parking pass must be placed on the car dashboard.
To get your Special Parking Pass, please call 926-2424 by 4:00 P.M. on March 14 (Friday). Quantity of passes is limited, so please call early.
Shuttle service from Paki Street to the Parade starting point at Ft. DeRussy is available from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Note: Kalakaua Avenue will close at 4:00 p.m.
