We are Halau Hula o Alohilani. The name of the class, Alohilani, means “sparkle”. We will dance cheerfully regardless of whether we are practicing or performing on the stage, just as what Alohilani means.
Found 25 years ago! 30 out of 300 of our members are participating in the festival. Participants range from junior high schoolers to housewives in their 40’s and some of them are parents and their children. Our dance performances are semi-Western style that adopted jazz and street dance. We dance gorgeously using Japanese props.
