Symphonic Band
The Lake Highland Preparatory School Symphonic Band from Orlando, Florida is an ensemble consisting of 7th – 12th grade students. The band director is Mr. Christopher Greening. This ensemble participates in many concert and marching competitions each year both locally and statewide. They have consistently received excellent ratings in their category. The band has performed on the Royal Caribbean Cruise ships and in New York City for the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Choral Ensemble
The Lake Highland Preparatory School Choral Ensemble is part of a larger group of singers in grades 9-12. Bettie-Ann Candelora is the choral director. The choir has traveled to New York City, Chicago, the Bahamas and now to Hawaii. During their trip to New York City last year, the group was featured on “Good Morning America”, sang at St. Paul’s Church and at ground zero and took workshops at Lincoln Center. They additionally perform for community service projects such as The Ronald McDonald House. This past December they were selected to perform at the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT at Walt Disney World and perform annually at Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede.
