Miss Chinatown Hawaii is a nonprofit organization run solely by volunteers, whose mission is to perpetuate the Chinese culture in Hawaii through deepening their understanding and appreciation of the Chinese heritage, developing leadership skills, public speaking, and participation in community service. Each year, our queens represent our communities and the State of Hawaii at Miss Chinatown USA and other local competitions. Our queens May Kamaka and Ashley Yoshikawa will compete at Miss Hawaii in June while Janelle Liang just competed at Miss Chinatown USA in San Francisco.
