We, the Kotomu Taishogoto band, treasure the sound of acoustic taishogoto. The word “music” in Japanese is written as “sound is fun”. Living up to its meaning, our goal is always to strive to make worthwhile music to be appreciated by the people. Kotomu is the circle where you make your wishes come true through practicing Taishogoto-wishes such as attaining joy in the playing of music, making new friends, finding a purpose in life. Members’ ages range from 6 to 90 years old and each enjoys playing music of his/her choice. Taishogoto is popular as a lifetime hobby and we want to promote this little instrument.
