The creative Tamasudare has been performed to a sold out crowd at Carnegie Hall in New York. The many, unique techiniques of this traditional form of Japanese street entertainment are greatly admired. We want to show you our very best! Please enjoy.

“Asate, asate, we are Oedo-Tamasudare.” We keep to the beat of the seven –and-five-syllable meter and create different images and forms with our well-known tamasudare (bamboo screen). Peddlers first sold tamasudare at the markets during the Oedo period. The art of making all sorts of images with tamasudare has become a traditional form of entertainment and is enjoyed by many. Enjoy our performance as we cheer, clap, dance and make these amazing images.
