Tsurushi-bina (hanging dolls) were created in the Edo period to wish for children’s growth and happiness. Japan’s three major traditions are Inatori’s Tsurushi Kazari, Yanagawa’s Sagemon, and Sakata’s Kasafuku. We will exhibit works that highlight the beauty of traditional kimono patterns and silk using old fabrics.
