We are “Wasshoi! Japanese Keiki,” a group of children with Japanese roots living in Hawaiʻi. While growing up in Hawaiʻi, we study the Japanese language and learn about Japanese traditions and culture. “Wasshoi!” is a traditional chant shouted during Japanese festivals when carrying a mikoshi. Today, we proudly bring that joyful festival spirit to the Honolulu Festival Parade. Please join us and shout “Wasshoi!” together!
