Yutaka Hula Halau

Hula

Yutaka Hula Halau! This is our 7th participation from the “land of sunshine”, Kurashiki, a city located at the southern part of Okayama. Although this will be the very first stage performance for many of our team members, we will be enjoying the Hawaii’s Pacific Harmony.

Hiroshima

Hanamatsu Toshishizuno Shachu

Traditional Performance

This is our second time to participate in the Honolulu Festival. It seems like just the other day that we danced the Misora Hibari Show at the Hawaii Theater the first time we participated at the 4th Honolulu Festival. We perform at cultural events in various regions of Japan as well as at senior citizens facilities. Please enjoy our Shin Nihon Buyou (New Style of Japanese Dance).

Hiroshima

The 53rd Honolulu Sister City Goodwill Delegation form Hiroshima

Other

We are the Goodwill Delegation form Hiroshima, the first sister city of Honolulu. It is the 19th time we join the Honolulu Festival. Goodwill ambassadors for Hiroshima tourism will greet you from a convertible at the parade, and they will introduce Hiroshima as an attractive tourist destination. We look forward to seeing you at the Honolulu Festival, and please visit Hiroshima on your next Japan trip!

Tottori

Nichinan Kagura (Noh) Dance “Jinkosha”

Traditional Performance

Our group Nichinan Kagura Jinkosha performs Noh about the legendary god Kadonokami of the Nichinan district. We will use elements of Bicchu Kagura and Izumo Kagura, fusing both styles resulting in a very original Kagura Noh dance.
