Yutaka Hula Halau! This is our 7th participation from the “land of sunshine”, Kurashiki, a city located at the southern part of Okayama. Although this will be the very first stage performance for many of our team members, we will be enjoying the Hawaii’s Pacific Harmony.

Our group is based in Nerima Ward, Tokyo. Our members’ ages range from very young to old. Smile*Joy* Thankfulness… these are very important keywords in living a full life. We express these feelings through the hula. We love Hawaii! This is our 6th time to participate in the Honolulu Festival. We are so happy to be able to dance on this stage once again!!!
Komaki Kei ABC Academy Hula HalauHula
We are Komaki Kei ABC Academy Hula Halau from Mito, Ibaraki, where it is famous for Mito Kōmon. This will be our 16th time to perform at the Honolulu Festival. Once again, we will do our best!
We are Hula Halau “Kawehilani” and this is our 4th time to participate at the Honolulu Festival. We feel blessed to join in this wonderful event and we are happy from the bottom of our heart. We will dance with all our heart while surrounded by the breeze of our beloved Hawaii and Mana.

Maki Uehara Hula Studio is offering hula lessons based in Akasaka, Tokyo. We’ve been practicing hula every day and also Mr. Kumu Hula Ed Collier had guided us. Leila Uehara is one of the members of the group, “Kimiko Ota & The Birds” as a ukulele player and also as a vocalist.
Kukuna’okala Hula SchoolHula
Our hula school was established 30 years ago and is headquartered in Tokyo. We learn under the tutelage of Kumu Hula Kukuna’okala Nakamura whose motto is “Let us appreciate Hawaii’s culture.” We are a group who loves Hawaii and is enchanted by the beauty of hula.

We started ‘Kiyose Enjoy Hula’ almost 15 years ago in 1999. We enjoy hula with our mottos, “Hula to enjoy with wonderful friends, Hula to contribute to the local society, and Hula to maintain the health of the middle-aged and elderly.”
