Shampoo presents MATSURI hair show in HAWAIIDance/Performance
A Hair and Make-up show presented by beauticians from Hokkaido’s Tomakomai utilizes the concept of “tying,” which symbolizes family ties and friendship through cultural exchange as if tying the whole world with goodwill. They will show both the traditional Japanese beauty ideals and the latest trends from Honolulu to the world!
“Ryushokai” is a group of traditional folk song and dance aficionados, celebrating the 29th year since their foundation. They will present an important cultural asset, the Japanese folk song: every Japanese cherishes it.
Nakasu Kunihiro Onna MikoshiDance/Performance
Fukuoka city, Nakasu, is the largest amusement area in Kyushu. From Nakasu, 130 of us will be participating in the festival. We are one-of-a-kind all-women mikoshi bearers with high energy and spirit. Please cheer us at the parade!
Yozakura Kingyo TomakomaiDance/Performance
We are the YOSAKOI SORAN dance team from Tomakomai City, Hokkaido. This is our first entry in the Honolulu Festival. Celebrating the 10th anniversary since our foundation, 60 members, including some who are physically challenged, actively practice the Yosakoi Soran dance. This year’s theme is “JAPAN.THE.Samurai.” Please enjoy our performance!

Kinshukai is a music-educational organization with a mission to promote taisho-koto. This is the first participation from Saitama Branch. Please enjoy the sound of taishogoto, which was invented in Japan.
Kawachiya Kikusuimaru and Bon Dance GroupDance/Performance
Osaka’s renowned musical entertainment, Kawachi Ondo, is the pride and joy of Osaka citizens. Ondo singing sensation Kawachiya Kikusuimaru joined with the Bon Dance Group, whose purpose is to promote the Bon Dance worldwide, to form a special unit to perform during the festival.
Square Dance in HonoluluDance/Performance
The Group will perform a square dance, which was born during the Wild West era.People enjoy the square dance, just like the way they dance to peasant music. When a universal dance routine is leaned, everybody can dance with people all over the world, promoting friendship.
Godo Furusato TaikoDance/Performance
We are the Godo Furusato Taiko group from Gifu prefecture in Japan. We will present a lion dance and Japanese taiko show.
