10th Anniversary Honolulu Rainbow EKIDEN 2026 Confirmed!
Our sister event, the Honolulu Rainbow EKIDEN, will mark its 10th anniversary in 2026.
Recognized as Hawaii’s community sports festival, the event was inaugurated in 2013 as the first public relay race for amateur runners in Hawaii. Over the years, it has been embraced by locals and visitors alike as a fun and inclusive sports event that celebrates friendship, health, and the spirit of aloha.
Starting from Kapiolani Park, with Diamond Head as the backdrop, the course runs along Diamond Head Road, turning around near a lookout point with sweeping ocean views. Each lap covers 5 km of breathtaking scenery, offering runners the chance to fully experience Hawaii’s natural beauty. Because all participants run the same loop, teammates and supporters can cheer each other on throughout the race, one of the event’s unique highlights.
Open to runners as young as five years old, the Rainbow EKIDEN welcomes families, friends, and corporate teams alike. A special kids’ race for children under 12 will also be held.
Whether running or cheering, the Honolulu Rainbow EKIDEN is all about bringing smiles to everyone. Join us in celebrating this memorable 10th anniversary and let’s paint a rainbow across the skies of Hawaii together!
